Where the real
country venue and it's tradition meets great country music entertainment. It doesn't matter whose playin',
we book only the best acts and the party is always on.
We have to apologize for one
thing, we don't do gimmicks....just keep it real.....so no mechanical bulls, one night a week
country or corporate strip mall country here.

The story of The Wrangler . . . .
Before The Wrangler was the little hot spot it is now, it was a little like The
Old Wild West out on Grant Line Road. Carter Grocery and Gas was the
original business in the 40's and 50's before The Wrangler was ever conceived.
It became The Wrangler in the late 50's and through the early 60's. The
Wrangler was considered "The Cowboy" bar while across the road where the
existing Steele building is, a portion of that building was free-standing and
called The Ponderosa....and at the time was considered "The Indian" bar.
If you were not with an Indian when you went in there, you were not going to go
in there without getting in a fight. It was visa versa for a Native
American walking into The Wrangler. The stories of the rivalry between
the two bars grew as one legend of a local Ponderosa regular was shot by The
Wrangler regular in the 1960's right between the eyes with a
small caliber hand-gun and lived to tell the tale. Inside The Wrangler,
you will see the old bullet holes to your immediate right when a bartender at the time shot 6 times at some fellas that were
causin' problems back in the early 70's.....fortunately nobody was hurt....the
bullet holes are still there.
After The Wrangler was Casey's Pizza until 1969 when Fred Spiva started The
Y-not....it was The Y-not for 37 years until it became The Wrangler again....we
just brought back the name cause we liked it. The walls are lined with
memorabilia from regional businesses and ranches. Thank you for coming to
what we believe is one of the last true and real country bars with Live
Entertainment on the West Coast. If you can't have fun here, you might
have a little thinkin' to do. |

i5 Radio is
coming soon!
(Real American
Country)
That's right Sacramento,
there is a radio station coming out that is
not going to play the bee-bop
bubble gum country, talentless country and
one that
supports California's talented
independent country artists regularly and their originals.
They
won't start playing music one way to hook you, then end up like all the
other radio stations.....just
artists like Merle, Randy Houser, Reba, Dwight, King George, Terri Clark,
Wreckless Kelly and Dierks.
It
won't be traditionally programmed country radio,
but we like it. It will have a little rock 'n roll. Can you say
Journey, Metallica, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard? Not a lot,
but RNR will definately make an appearance five or six times a day at the
right time.
The Wrangler has seen
what makes people's toes tap and what makes them get on the floor and this
station has that...it's why we believe in what they're doing. Keep
your eyes open West
Coast.....it
all starts with a talent show at The Wrangler on Monday Nights.

Why do a fundraiser at The
Wrangler?
The Wrangler has now helped
local organizations raise
over $100,000.00 after only
having done our program for
one year. Let us take
the risk out of throwing a big
dinner and party for a
fundraiser in these hard
economic times off and do
all the organizing for
you.
1. You don't have to
rent a venue.
2. No gathering
volunteers...we staff it.
3. We make it an
event....something people
want to come back to.
4. You don't have to
pay for
entertainment....it's
already there.
5. We have the
facility to handle larger
groups.
6. Slim to no
risk in loss of cost of
event if tickets not sold in
bad economy.
7. You won't overbuy
alcohol and have to waste
what you don't sell after
having spent the money.
8. You won't need
liquor liability.
9. You don't have to rent
tables, chairs and dishes.
10. You don't have to
pick a caterer.
11. Proven
fundraiser....over 50 events
and about $175,000 raised.
12. No spending $80
per family and getting only
10% of the bill (that's
about $8/family) back from
corporate
restaurants.....our program
gives your organization 80%
or more of the cost of a
dinner (that's about
$64.......8X more money)
back to your group.
13. We have multiple
menus to choose from.
14. We only have the
best entertainers and acts
for a night out on the town
with the adults.
15. We can throw a
larger party than most any
other restaurant in Elk
Grove.
